European Window & Door Systems for Better Built Homes
E Windowtastic helps homeowners, architects, builders, and contractors choose custom-fit European window and door systems for high-performance homes. From energy-efficient residential builds to projects focused on comfort, airtightness, and long-term durability, we provide practical product guidance using trusted systems from Viking, AluProf, and AluPlast.
High-performance homes need windows and doors that do more than fill an opening. The right system can help improve thermal comfort, reduce heat loss, support better airtightness, and contribute to a more stable indoor environment.
E Windowtastic works with trusted European systems from Viking, AluProf, and AluPlast, helping you compare the right material, glazing, opening style, and performance level for your project.
Whether you’re building a new home, planning a design-led residential project, or upgrading a performance-focused property, we help you choose windows and doors with the full build in mind.
Not every project has the same window and door requirements. If your build is focused on Passive House-level goals, design-led construction, an ADU, or a remodel, explore the related project categories below.
E Windowtastic supported the BODOW Project in North Carolina with European window and door systems selected for a high-performance residential build designed around Passive House principles.
The project used a mix of Viking window and door solutions to support strong thermal performance, airtightness, comfort, and a clean architectural finish, while helping the home meet its performance goals without requiring full Passive House certification.
A combination of sustainable, healthy and highly efficient building materials and methods will make this house another prime example how to build significantly better and healthier than existing building codes. We used Viking DK windows (Tilt& Turn), SW17 in-swing doors and Gulu & Innova sliding doors which resulted in an average U value of 0.132 (existing building code in Louisville is 0.3)! The windows are two sided in color (inside and outside) and use two different outside colors complementing different siding materials and colors. All that and a bag of chips at no additional costs.

European window and door systems with strong thermal performance can help reduce unnecessary heating and cooling demand, depending on the home’s design and installation.
High-performance systems can support a tighter building envelope, helping improve comfort, efficiency, and overall building performance.
Well-selected glazing and frame systems can help reduce outside noise, creating a quieter and more comfortable indoor environment.
Quality European systems are designed for long-term use, with durable frame materials, reliable hardware, and glazing options selected around the project’s needs.
The right window and door system can help create a more stable indoor environment by supporting thermal comfort, reducing drafts, and improving how the home performs through seasonal changes.
Viking is strongly connected to E Windowtastic’s high-performance and Passive House-level residential projects. These Scandinavian wood aluclad systems can support strong thermal performance, airtightness, triple glazing, durability, and a clean European finish.
They are often suitable for performance-focused homes where comfort, energy efficiency, weather resistance, and long-term building performance are important.
Best suited for: High-performance homes, Passive House-level goals, wood aluclad windows, fixed windows, tilt-turn windows, swing doors, and selected lift-and-slide systems.
AluPlast is used in selected performance-focused residential projects where energy efficiency, triple glazing, practical function, and cost control are important. It can be a strong option for standard or smaller residential openings where the project needs better performance without requiring large-span aluminum systems.
For High Performance Homes, AluPlast may suit projects that need uPVC tilt-turn windows, triple pane glass, improved insulation, and a practical balance between comfort, efficiency, and budget.
Best suited for: Standard residential openings, smaller window sizes, uPVC tilt-turn windows, triple glazing, cost-conscious performance upgrades, and energy-efficient residential projects.
Every high-performance home has different design, comfort, efficiency, and construction requirements. E Windowtastic helps review the project details, compare suitable European systems, and coordinate the selected window and door package through ordering and delivery.
